As the days fly by and the premiere swiftly approaches, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the feelings and the moments that have led up to my biggest dream coming true (so far)!

People always say that it takes hard work to make dreams come true and I have always argued that more important is determination and the belief that it can really happen. I know now that it is most definitely a mix of both!

The last few weeks have been a rollercoaster (or maybe a Steel Venom – which we’ll experience on the August 2nd episode!) of emotions. I have never worked as hard as I have over the last few weeks. And in doing so I have also discovered that none of this would be happening without working my tookus off!

But before the hard work came the mental decision that I really could accomplish this dream which has nipped at me for as long as I can remember.

Even though I have been pursuing this dream for most of my adult life, it was about 6 months before I was cast as The Minnesota Traveler when I decided “this is it, I WILL become a television host”! A question I started asking myself was “What can I do right now to make this dream come true?” The answer for me in that moment was to take improv classes & I did so at HUGE Improve Theater. I know it was that training that built my confidence and my skills to speak quickly and with a bit of wit!

Over the next few months I continued to ask myself that question and continued to take small steps that led me to JR Casting in August of 2014.

As I write this post, I realize that there is a third component that helped me get here: fabulous people! I have been blessed with many people who have believed in me even though I sometimes lost faith.

I am especially thankful for John & Randy at McCally-Lee Entertainment who not only believed in me, but took a huge chance on me – I will forever be grateful!

I do believe everyone can make their dreams come true! I hope that I can inspire someone out there to have faith in their own dreams and to encourage you to do what is necessary to make those dreams come true. You must work hard, you must be resolute in your decision that the dream will come true and you must keep close to you the people who believe in you, encourage you and bring positive energy into your life!

Thank you for being one of those supportive people right now!

Here we go!!!!
